kitty craft’s 1998 beats and breaks from the flower patch is a light, playful album capturing a nostalgic spring-summer freedom. it smells like strawberries and fresh grass, and tastes like lemonade. its the kind of album you listen to while watching the clouds drift by on a sunny day. id probably listen to this if i were a kindergarten teacher on my way to work in the 90s. the opening song, par 5, sets the tone with its sweet vocals and chill, calming beat. half court press is one of my favs with a touch of mundane melancholy behind the lyrics, and caught high has such a joyful beat that you just fall right into it! def a 10/10 album if youre into that kind of sound!
